This position will provider strong leadership with a deep technology background in reporting and analytics technologies, and will draw upon a solid foundation of analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to effectively manage the reporting and analytics team. Critical to this role is the ability to create a vision for the reporting and analytics team. The individual must have deep experience in managing, evolving, and expanding BI and analytic capabilities, utilizing, creating, and defining systems and processes to support growth.

You understand that the best managers support and empower their teams; help remove roadblocks; and allow teammates to have ownership over their projects. You are equally happy talking about coding and data structures as you are helping non-technical stakeholders with their business needs. Must enjoy working closely with business partners to architect flexible, supportable and extensible solutions.


  • Build strong relationships with all levels of staff and management across the organization.
  • Assess progress of reporting and data analytics requirements, integration, analysis, and modeling related workstreams across multiple projects, assess interdependencies, and provide recommendations for reallocation of resources, prioritization, sequencing of activities and/or approach as necessary to meet goals
  • Track milestones, activities and inter-dependencies at the across projects and tasks
  • Ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned to meet objectives
  • Develop and manage various reports and scorecards measuring the status and quality of delivery results of the team
  • Manage the work intake process for enhancement and support requests (i.e., requests for new development, etc.)
  • Translates new and existing reporting requirements into actionable requirements for delivery via business intelligence applications and tools
  • Improves operations by conducting systems / data analysis and recommending changes in workflow and procedures
  • Evaluates and identifies new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of data management best practices, including reporting, analytics, sql, data modeling, data management, file management, reference data management, etc.
  • Able to identify multiple approaches to problem solving and recommend the best case solution
  • Proven ability to work directly with users and management to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build good relationships and rapport
  • Must be proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting client/customer needs. Always keeping a “Can do!” attitude
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team environment and adopt a culture of ownership and initiative, and promote such within the team
  • Working knowledge of best practices for automating and monitoring recurring processes
  • Adept at translating and presenting data requirements into an understandable document. Ability to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas
  • Knowledge and familiarity with database security concepts and best practices
  • Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • 5+ years in a technical managerial role
  • 3+ years as a Data Analysis and writing SQL
  • Experience delivering solutions for enterprise level systems
  • Experience balancing real time vs batch processes
  • Comfortable contributing and debating in a casual and friendly team environment
